10 Years On

I will have worked at Being for 10 years this week (formerly GCAS Networks, formerly GCAS Design) and it’s incredible how far we have come from those pre dot.com crash days. Although the technologies we use have dramatically improved and the access speeds we now enjoy would have seemed fantastical in 1999 (50Mb broadband), our approach to how we work has not really changed. We are customer focused - we always strive to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers. But more importantly in an ever changing world, we provide these levels of service year after year. Our customers are reassured by the fact that we have been a constant presence, always here to help them make the most of the Internet - extending their reach through effective e-marketing and online activity. It must be pointed out that we do not hold all the keys to the fantastic opportunities the Internet can provide - we also empower our customers to take control of the medium through our product suites. Our 'Etelligent' based products allow our customers to easily manage web sites, sell products, manage employee communities and create marketing campaigns: delivered online, through email and SMS. Just as we are customer focused in the way we service our clients, we also apply these skills to our product development. Our products are designed to be intuitive and easily used by non-technical staff - this is how we empower our customers.

By empowering our customers and providing the highest levels of service, Being has been fortunate to work with some exceptional companies - big and small. A few of the key companies I have been heavily involved with over the last 10 years include:

With any anniversary, as well as reflecting on your past experiences you look to what the future holds - and I have to say I'm very excited about a number of things on the horizon. This last year has been dominated by our continued expansion and move of premises but now that we have fully settled in, work is full steam ahead on finalising Etelligent 2.0. Utilising the latest dot.net technologies combined with best practices, Etelligent 2.0 will be a leap forward in terms of usability, responsiveness and scalability. As we get ready to ship Etelligent 2.0 I will be going into more details in future blogs but one of the big advances will be in the area of Customer Journeys. It has always been possible to create connected events in Etelligent e.g. when a user clicks on a link in an email - it triggers another email to be sent containing more targeted information related to the original link. However, in Etelligent 2.0 this functionality will be greatly enhanced through a central interface to manage Conditions, Triggers and Actions that combine to create your Customer Journeys. Also in the pipeline are further developments to our Etelligent Learning Management System (LMS) that let companies manage their corporate communities through targeted e-Learning, information delivery and skills mentoring.
